Why a reinforced base and not a plain one? Because we never remove the previous layer completely. With an e-file and a carbide bit we take off only the colour and leave the base intact. Your nails are not worn down, they are protected.

Why a reinforced base
The nail plate is like puff pastry: it is made of many thin layers. Every time a file touches it, it loses a layer.
At LATROS we never remove the previous layer of product completely, so the natural nail is not worn down at all. Instead we remove the colour with an e-file and a gentle carbide bit (which does not burn), leaving the base intact.
In effect the manicure gets a light maintenance, so the same surface is never filed twice. Your nails are not worn down by repeated manicures; on the contrary, they are protected.

Our regular clients' favourite. A Russian manicure with thorough cuticle work, a top-quality reinforced base and a light rebuild matched to your natural nail. It finishes with a velvety scrub and a whipped moisturising cream.
Manicure with air-dry polish
Thorough cuticle work, preparation of the nail plate and a polish that dries in the air. It ends with a scented cuticle oil and a whipped cream for the hands. Ideal when you want care without commitment.
Manicure without polish
Thorough cuticle work, a reinforced base and a light rebuild, without colour. For nails that are cared for, natural and protected. A scrub and a whipped moisturising cream are included.

How long does a reinforced-base manicure last?
Up to a month, depending on how fast your nails grow and on care at home.
What if a nail breaks or lifts?
We offer a free local repair within 3 days of your appointment. After that, a broken nail repair costs €5.
